Newly single Sarah Harding

Sarah was spotted out in Primrose Hill, getting out of a car wearing a coat that looked a bit like a dalmation (in a nice way - we like dalmations), leather gloves, knee high boots and dark sunglasses. And the best news is that Sarah - who's had a rough few weeks - looked very happy. And like she potentially might be about to buy a few bunches of daffs, which seems like a nice wholesome way to spend a Wednesday.

Sarah admitted this week that she's been previously been addicted to drink and prescription drugs.


"My drinking was out of control and I was addicted to sleeping pills," she told The Sun. "It was an awful combination.The drinking was more to give me more confidence especially when I was going through my little wild-child stage. It was trying to maintain that f****** image and got in trouble."

Sarah said that her problems started when she first got famous in Girls Aloud, but spun out of control when she split up with DJ fiance Tom Crane in September.

"I was lonely, isolated and depressed," she admitted. "I was drinking to deal with my emotions after the split."

Sarah went into rehab at the end of last year, and met new boyfriend Theo De Vries, 35. But things went wrong when Sarah and Theo went on holiday to Austria and police were called after the couple had a violent argument on New Years Day.

Sarah said that Theo had hit her after a drinking session - though police are investigating claims from both her and Theo.

"He was smacking my head on the floor," she said. "He bit my ear. And when I kicked him to try and get him off me, I got his nose and he was bleeding. He smeared the blood all over my face so it was all over my clothes."

This is all so horrible that we wince every time we read it. We properly hope that Sarah's happy and healthy and stays that way for ages (that's us being sentimental and nice, that is.)
