With the date of the biggest football game of the year fast approaching, tickets are becoming scarce for the 2012 Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 5th, especially cheap options for sale.
Super Bowl XLVI will be held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, the first Super Bowl ever to be played in the Indiana arena home to the Colts.
Not only is the Super Bowl an important event for football and sports fans, but always includes memorable performances by musical artists. This year, Madonna will perform the halftime show while Kelly Clarkson will perform the pre-game National Anthem.
Reasonable ticket prices are always hard to find, namely this year since it is the first time Indianapolis is hosting. However, there are still many seats available to attend the big game.
The first tickets to the Super Bowl were sold in 1966 after the AFL and NFL merged into one league for about $40 for the 1967 event, which was not televised. AFL owner Lamar Hunt named the event the "Super Bowl" inspired by a toy his son was playing with, and the rest is history.
