Early 2008 saw the band record a music video and mi...ni documentary which was featured on ITV's documentary show 'Unsigned'. Following on from the buzz of ITV, music channel Scuzz picked up their video and featured it on their prime time shows generating lots of new fans. The Dirty Youth then self booked a 33 date tour of the UK including an appearance on the Scuzz stage at Bloodstock Festival leading on to playing some of their first sold out shows such as the Monto Water Rats in London, The Grand Junction In Buckingham and Le Pub in Newport.
During 2009 TDY continued to tour to promote their E.P which has since gone on to sell over 2500 hard copies and an additional 3000 units on itunes. The Dirty Youth played their second sold out London show at Camden Barfly, where they were spotted by an agent and signed to The Agency Group for representation in Scandinavia. Other Highlights of 2009 included playing HellFire Festival at the o2 Academy in London and supporting Skindred at Cardiff Uni on their sold out UK tour.
2010 started strong for The Dirty Youth with the band being announced for Hultsfred festival in Sweden along with 30 Seconds to Mars, Killswitch Engage, Deftones and Also Getaway Rock Festival in Sweden along with Slash, Motorhead, Devildriver, and Europe. Later that month Matt was asked to play piano on Bullet For My Valentine's latest album "Fever" and was asked to perform with them Live on Radio 1's Zane Lowe show at the BBC Maida Vale studios in London. Meanwhile Danni was asked to guest on one of CBS' Radio stations in New York after being hand picked by DJ Frankie Russo for the 'World Rock Chicks' Live Show, which has included guests such as Joan Jett, Chrissie Hynde and Gwen Stefani.
In July 2010 TDY headed back to Nott-In-Pill Studio's to record their debut album 'Red Light Fix' which has been mixed by Martyn 'Ginge' Ford and Colin Richardson who have recently worked with bands such as Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For A Friend, Trivium etc... 'Red Light Fix' was then mastered at Sterling Sound in New York who have mastered albums by Elvis, The Beatles, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and many more musical legends.
This year has brought yet more success for the hard working band, having secured a high profile world-wide management deal with the highly accredited RMR Management the band went on to play the prestigious Download Festival at Donnington and the highly anticipated album 'Red Light Fix' is due for release on October 10th via Universal Records, with the mammoth Single fight being released on September 5th. Put those dates in your diary's and keep your eyes peeled because "SOMETHINGS ABOUT TO ERUPT!!"
